"Gerri-Lynn did an outstanding job selling our one bedroom condo in downtown San Diego. We used her services to buy this unit in 2009 and knew that we could trust her to again do a great job in selling the unit. The advice that she gave us was extremely valuable. Her recommendation to keep the list price high, even though the unit did not sell initially, saved us over $10,000. We had suggested a substantial price reduction but she convinced us to lower the price incrementally over a period of weeks. After the first week and a small price reduction, we received the offer that we accepted for very close to the asking price. This impressed me not only because of her shrewd market insight but more so because by keeping the unit on the market longer, she put our interests ahead of hers. While selling my unit at a higher price did slightly raise her commission, she would have likely been better off selling my unit quickly for a low price so that she could focus on serving clients who were looking to make higher value transactions. Gerri-Lynn worked extremely hard and treated the sale of our condo as if it were one of her most valuable listings. Finally, Gerri-Lynn did a great job closing the deal. "First time homebuyer here, and I started the process of purchasing around 6 months ago. As the market has slowly been turning around, it has become increasingly competitive for us first-timers to get our foot in the door of home ownership. My narrow criteria didn't help much either- the right home (house), in the right neighborhood (close to the bay), in decent condition, with a yard, all with an FHA entry-level loan approval amount. With all this stacked against us, Gerri-Lynn was up for the task of helping me find my new home. She devoted many weekends to my search, showing me dozens of homes (I can be a bit picky) in different neighborhoods. We even made a few offers, which just didn't stack up against an investor buying with cash (as I said, it's getting competitive). Throughout each potential buy, Gerri-Lynn was vigilant in the pursuit. I know that I didn't need to worry about anything, because she was constantly updating me with information from the seller regarding my offer. In working with her, I learned all about the process of buying, and what to do and what not to do (short sales).
